Leftover gratin from last night.
Not made by me but by him of course.
As yummy as lasagna which he made on Monday for my friend's visit.
It gets even yummier next day. Very good for lunch.
For dinner, salad with carrot from my parent's organic farm and Turkish honey bread from Mayson Keyser were also served.
For lunch, I added some strawberries for desert.

Last night, we visited our memorial restaurant La Palette in Azabujuban.
It's been a year since last time. The restaurant has not been changed, cozy.
I read someone's blog saying this place has very reasonable price for its fine food and location. It could be more popular than it is now.
If you feel like casual French in Azabu area, I recommend this place.

Since I got high fever next day, finally brought myself to the doctor and found out it was type A influenza.
"Tamiflu would work the best and fastest. Would you like to try?"
the doctor said.
"Usually normal adults have no problem at all."
She pushed me.
However, my hight, weight, and 3 sizes have never changed since I was lawteen. I remember it was a lawteen age boy who has died (probably) for Tamiflu recently.
So I said
"Well ... may I have something else?"

By the way, when I was not being able to go out during the flu period, I watched this strange TV program American Idol on Fox.
It's a simple program like people apply to it to conpete to be the next American idol. But it's America. The candidators are pretty 'unique' (eccentric). So are the judges with sharp tongue.
At the end of competition, the candidates are judged by the viewers. The number of people who voted for American Idol exceeded those who voted for American President, it said.
What a country America is!

A few days ago, I happened to see a movie called "maadadayo" by Akira Kurosawa on cable TV program. It's a story about this unique/cute writer Hyakken Uchida and it shows how much he loved his cat Nora. It's very heartwarming film.
I went to library to get Hyakken's novel "Nora-ya" written about his cats.
What a sweet animal cat is... I'm currently living with two cats and this novel made me realize how lovely they are even more.
By the way, when Nora suddenly disappeared one day, the absence of Nora just drove Hyakken crazy. He couldn't help thinking about the cat and couldn't even work. He gave out thousands of leaflets asking about Nora at the school, streets, shops etc. or put an ad in papers. And while he was looking for Nora, he even prepared a thanks-letter just in case Nora returns home. The letter is so cute and it brought tears to my eyes, so here I put a brief translation. ('I' means Nora the cat.)
I've been away from home for a while for nature's sake. It seems my master was terribly worried about me during my absence. I'd like to thank you all for having taken care of my master. Now I'm back home, safe and sound. So, I'd love to invite you for dinner. However, my master was not in the condition of working while I was away, meaning he doesn't have much money to afford anything fancy at the moment. Therefore the dinner tonight will be about the half as good as he usualy prepares, but I still love you all to come for a drink for my safe return.
As I'm not very good at sitting on chair, I have to excuse myself and send my master as my representation. Please enjoy your dinner.
I mean ... I wanna be a cat myself ...

As it was a beautiful sunny day on Sunday, I decided to go to Yokohama.

Wow, Yokohama is closer than it seems.

Yokohama, it's busy but not irritating. Similar to Tokyo but a little bit spacious for a breath. Because the town has been a big important port for foreign trade for centuries, it still has several restaurants/bars/shops those have cozy european-country atmosphere even though they look just shabby from outside. I have always loved this town and visit when I feel like having a small rest from Tokyo.

A homeless man sleeping like a log on the grass, young couples, obviously "extramarital" couples, a couple with a kid and wife's parents that all of them seemed so tired for caring each other, a group of young students practicing musical thing (all wearing the same red windbreaker jacket with letters 'Red Wave'), etcetra.

I left Yamashita park to head to China Town. Had a yumcha linner (lunch and dinner) at Manchinro-Tenshimpo where I booked. The food was ok but not as wonderful as I expected. (Maybe I expected too much.) By the way, all-you-can-eat style yumcha restaurants are everywhere nowadays. It it a big boom. The price per person is approx. 2000yen to 3000yen. I wouldn't expect high quality for this kind of meal but I know one of my favourite yumcha restaurant Hong Kong Garden in Nishiazabu has been closed. So why not try one of them instead next time? Could be fun!
However, China Town is always fun just to wander around. I walked around shopping bamboo steamer, baby kanfu suit for my nephew, chocolated sunflwer seeds, yumcha set for take away.
Then kept walking via the Red Brick Warehouse to Sakuragi-cho station.
I really enjoyed bath when I got home after a lot of walk.
It was a lovely day in a lovely town Yokohama.

As it was a beautiful sunny day on Sunday, I decided to go to Yokohama.
Train ride from Tamachi to Shinagawa, changed to Tokaido line, then after 17 min. here I am in Yokohama.

I caught Seabass (I didn't know it's "Bass" but not Bus. Discovery...) from Yokohama station to Yamashita park. As Sea Bass was full, I had to wait until the next one cueing.
The sea smell and sea breeze felt so beautiful on my skin that I was almost jumping into the water ... watch out, yasmeen.

On such a perfect day for walking in the park, you see many different kinds of people.
